Key & Cave Access

Access to many caves on Mendip are controlled by locks, and the MCG holds keys for the benefit of its members and visiting cavers. Cave keys are stored securely at Nordrach Cottage.

These keys are available to all bona fide cavers and can be issued by any full MCG member. For non-members, a £20 deposit is required per key, which is fully refundable upon its safe return.

It is crucial to remember that access arrangements can change. Always check the latest access information on the CSCC website before planning your trip. Respecting these arrangements is vital for maintaining our good relationships with landowners and ensuring future access for everyone.
